Wheatgrass

Wheatgrass is produced by germinated wheat seeds. However, the human digestive system is unable to digest wheatgrass. This is why wheatgrass is harvested after a short cultivation period and then immediately pressed. The wheatgrass juice obtained can be consumed by people. The wheatgrass juice is brimming with vitamins, minerals and chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is the leaf green, a good source of antioxidants.

This is why we drink wheatgrass:

The wheatgrass process

Wheatgrass juice starts off as germinated wheat seeds. The wheatgrass cultivation period lasts for a few days and cultivation takes place with just water and heat (hydroponics), so no nutrients or the like. The grass is cut as soon as it is long enough. The grass must always be fresh because of its limited shelf life (24 hours). It will subsequently go into the slowjuicer and is immediately frozen to retain all the nutrients.
